Yesterday a card I have was declined by a shop and a whole in the
wall refused it today. I was waiting on hold with the card provider
this morning when I realised the card had expired and that I've had
the new one for months. However I've not made any card payments
since the start of the month so I'd forgotten that I needed to swap
the cards this month...
Previous cards came with an overlap period so you could use the new
card as soon as it arrived, the new one didn't so it's been sitting
around unused for more than a month...
